Big names, big business and big opportunities are coming to Butte this September for the fifth Montana Economic Development Summit.
U.S. Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., unveiled five high-profile speakers Wednesday at Montana Tech and said more may join the two-day event.
"I'll tease you a little by letting you know I'm working on a couple others," he told the audience.
Those already committed to attending are leaders in both industry and government.
They include U.S. Secretary of Energy Steven Chu; General Electric Chairman Jeffrey Immelt; President and Chief Executive of The Walt Disney Co. Robert Iger; chief executive officer of the Microsoft Corp. Steven Ballmer and U.S. Small Business Administration head Karen G. Mills.
